More than 100 local non-profit organizations benefit from the festival. Surveys show participating non-profits generate 1/3 of their annual budgets from their sales at the festival. Retail sales in the City of Independence during the festival are estimated at $3 million.

Eight Giant Market Vendor Tents: The Santa-Cali-Gon Days® Festival Market Vendor show has consistently ranked among the top 10 in the country by Sunshine Artist Magazine. Santa-Cali-Gon features eight giant market vendor tents, filled with more than 400 crafters selling high quality items. Free admission.
Fun in the Sun Day
Santa-Cali-Gon will be engulfed in a tropical theme Monday, September 5 as Blue Orleans and Live Bait (Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band) take the Nuts & Bolts Main Stage at 1 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.. In addition, the Beer Garden will offer margaritas and other tropical drinks and festival board members will don tropical attire.
The Santa-Cali-Gon® Days Festival will also be attempting to land a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records. At 2:30 p.m., the Missouri Mavericks mascot, Mac, and the Filly Spirit Squad will lead the attempt for the world's largest MACARENA dance. Line-up will begin around 2:15 in the vicinity of the Nuts & Bolts Main Stage.
