MAIN STAGE ON
FRIDAY, AUG. 30TH

CONTEST DETAILS:

The Independence Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The Examiner, is thrilled to announce the return of the medallion treasure hunt contest! The SantaCaliGon Medallion Hunt was a popular tradition of the festival in years past and we could not be more excited to bring it back for the 52nd celebration

Clues will be published in The Examiner newspaper beginning Tuesday, July 30th, at 8:00 am. The other clues will be released every week (1 each week on Tuesday) leading up to the festival through August 27th, 2024 (last day).  Clues pointing the treasure hunter to the location of the medallion will be published by The Examiner until all five (5) medallions have been found. If the medallion is not found by noon on the day the clue is posted, additional clues will be posted on the SantaCaliGon Facebook page. The medallions are engraved with the SantaCaliGon Days Festival 52nd year logo on the front and a QR code engraved on the back. When a medallion is found the hunter will scan the QR code on the back of the medallion to register and claim their chance to win the GRAND PRIZE which is a SantaCaliGon prize pack and will include carnival tickets, VIP seating for Saturday’s main stage concerts, and other festival swag. On Friday, August 30th, during the SantaCaliGon Festival, all 5 winners will be invited to the Main Stage, with one winner being selected for the grand prize by playing heads or tails with Independence Mayor Rory Rowland.
